Minimalist for extreme climbing adventures
Lightweight, robust climbing backpack for alpinists with short backs
Light and robust: Our lightweight climbing backpack TRAD ZIP 24 S is a new addition to our alpine CLIMBING SERIES. The TRAD 24 S climbing backpack was developed especially for men and women with short backs and offers all of the benefits of our proven TRAD series.
This light, 24-liter climbing backpack is a genuine minimalist that is focused upon the basics: Small essentials can be stowed in the lid compartment. Your equipment can be quickly and securely accessed via the practical toploader opening. The TRAD ZIP 24 S features fasteners for your helmet, ice axe and rope; more loops are at hand for affixing any other gear you might wish to take with you. The aluminum frame in the back section can be removed if you wish to save more weight.
Hydration system compatibility and a bottle holder will ensure you’re always well-supplied when on the move. Robust nylon ripstop fabric ensures protection against scuffs and rough rock
Safety first! A real alpine climbing backpack, the TRAD 24 S is equipped with an emergency card, which contains all the important information a mountaineer might need. In addition, the CLIMBING SERIES has the proven rescue system for emergencies integrated. Combined with the SAR 1 rescue system, a Recco reflector integrated into the backpack ensures that injured or missing persons can be quickly located.
RESCUE SYSTEM FOR EMERGENCIES
Recco’s SAR1 rescue system is a helicopter-based detector that can be used to search large areas for people in distress in the shortest time possible. A small reflector, which is integrated into the TRAD climbing rucksacks, is required for visibility. This ensures that people can be located quickly and provides the best possible protection, no matter what the season. The SAR1 system is already being used in many areas.
BACK SYSTEM: HIGH FLEX CONTACT
The back system for this climbing backpack features a lightweight, removable aluminum frame and a full-contact carrying system. The frame is very flexible, but rigid along the horizontal axis in order to bear as much weight as possible. Thanks to its 3D shape, the backpack fits snugly onto the back and guaranties great freedom of movement and optimum comfort.
