Abrasion-resistant SHIELD LIGHT reliably protects high-stress areas from rugged rocks, while quick-drying MERINO SHIELD TEC with fine merino wool on the inside makes them comfortable to wear. A climbing-optimized cut and 4-way stretch guarantee complete freedom of movement. The set-back zippered pocket on the side thigh seam remains easily accessible even when wearing a climbing harness and complements the highly functional design of the pants.

Great idea but falls short
I purchased these because I needed a versatile and durable pant that did not require a belt for multiple activities including: camping, hiking, traveling, and post mtb/moto rides. The pants over all are great, easy to move in, and very comfortable with the merino lining. Unfortunately they have one major flaw…the material the belts and buckles are made of is far too smooth and they do not have enough grip on each other. The pants will not stay snug on the waist no matter how tight they are, they continually loosen even with just casual movement. This is very unfortunate give the premium price.
