TURN UP THE HEAT on even the speediest of couloirs with the Swisswool PIZ BADUS JACKET for men!
The outer layer of the lightweight insulated jacket is made of quilted, elastic, breathable, and wind-resistant TEC STRETCH material, while a 70 g/m2 lightweight, functional Swisswool lining on the inside keeps you warm without restricting your freedom of movement. The HIGH-REACH-PERFORMANCE FIT with ergonomic sleeve shape and side inserts made of elastic MERINO FLEECE ensures an IDEAL FIT FOR EVERY MOVEMENT, while the pre-adjusted hood offers additional protection.
The Swisswool PIZ BADUS JACKET for men also scores highly in terms of sustainability: recycled polyester is used in addition to wool. The insulated jacket is also completely PFC-FREE, CLIMATE-NEUTRAL and MADE IN EUROPE.
The Swisswool PIZ BADUS JACKET for men creates an EXCELLENT WEIGHT/INSULATION RATIO that really pays off when freeriding just as much as on fresh ski touring summits.

We have been using Swisswool– wool fibers from Switzerland – as insulation material since 2011. A sustainable wool of regional origin, it warms superbly even when wet, is easy to care for and offers a perfect microclimate.
Our sustainable MERINO WOOL comes from monitored, ethical sheep farms. It is comfortably soft, easy to care for, and provides an optimum body climate thanks to its moisture- and temperature-regulating properties.

This is an update of my previous review, which I just had to do. I have had this jacket for almost a year now and have worn it on many occasions. I previously stated it looks great, is warm (I wore it as a 3rd layer on -5 C and it delivered), light, and acts a good windstopper. The problem is the quality, which for a product of this price range and brand name is unacceptably low. The jacket looks ridiculous now since hundreds of wool threads are coming out, everywhere and every day. If it keeps up like this, within a year, this jacket will be empty concerning the wool. Disaster.

This jacket is stylish and comfortable—very comfortable. Its warm (at least for temperatures not going under 5C; I have not worn it for some colder temperatures). I am 195 cm and 110 kg and had to go with XXL (fits perfect). As for the material quality, I can't tell since I had it for less than a year, but so far still looks like new. I personally don't see this jacket as some robust, highly durable outdoor jacket. I wear it for my daily activities-streetwear, cycling, and montenering (mostly around the camp).

Hello!

I bought this jacket a year ago and have worn it quite a bit. It is a nice weight and reasonably flexible. The lower snap closed pockets are useful as hand warmers but are not secure and are too low to wear easily with a pack. The woolen side panels have started to pill significantly. I do wish the hem had a cord adjustment rather than the elastic. As it is, it doesn't seal very tight against the cold.
