Maximum freedom of movement for cold days
Close-fitting, seamless, very breathable merino boxers for midwinter tours
- Body mapping: different material strengths at different areas of the body
- Produced using a seamless circular knitting technique
- Extremely breathable, quick drying and very durable
Introducing a new look for all ski touring sheep with the revamped 230 COMPETITION BOXER for women – designed for high-performance sports on extremely cold days.
The 230 COMPETITION line is produced using a seamless circular knitting process to place different material strengths at different areas of the body. The basic ribbed structure is made from 190 g/m² MERINO, giving the functional pullover elasticity for maximum freedom of movement. A particularly breathable mesh structure provides optimum air circulation in the areas where the most heat is generated, while 240 g/m² wool warms areas that are sensitive to the cold, such as the kidney area. This body mapping principle allows for a close fit while providing maximum ventilation. The boxers are also extremely breathable, quick drying and very durable.
Like the rest of the line, the 230 COMPETITION BOXER for women has a sporty cut and the gentle merino fibers with a diameter of 16.5 microns feel as comfortably soft as a second skin. The refined design and use of printed yarn, which forms a special pattern thanks to the body mapping configuration, create a new look that really stands out.
With the 230 COMPETITION BOXER for women you’ll be ready for new personal bests – even if it gets extremely cold!
Since 1995, merino wool has been an integral component of ORTOVOX’s mountainwear. Our merino wool comes from happy sheep reared on monitored, ethical sheep farms. The wool is naturally ecological and therefore super sustainable. Thanks to the small-diameter fibres in its fine woollen threads, merino wool feels extremely soft and comfortable on the skin. In addition to comfort, merino wool also provides an ideal personal body climate by regulating both moisture and temperature. It is also easy to care for and, thanks to its antibacterial effect, odor neutralizing.
ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE (OWP)
Merino wool has been an integral component of ORTOVOX’s mountainwear since 1995. The focus of this has always been the protection of people, animals and nature: Our merino wool comes from selected farms that comply with our own wool standard: the ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE. These farms are regularly monitored within the framework of the OWP to ensure that the highest standards of animal welfare are maintained. The OWP is our commitment to fair wool.
The special features of wool fibers from Switzerland are their outstanding thermal properties and excellent climate control, as well as their regional origin.
