The most elastic Merino technical clothing of all time!
Extremely comfortable, lightweight, highly functional merino hot pants for year-round alpine activities
The products from the 105 MERINO ULTRA line have a material weight of 105 g/m², making them highly versatile from summer through to winter. What’s special about this product line is the use of Nuyarn. This yarn is the most exclusive in our range. In an innovative manufactoring process the finest wool fibers are spun around a polyamide core. The resulting yarn allows us to create fabrics that are LIGHTER but at the same time MORE VOLUMINOUS. The result is more warmth and comfort. In addition, the core improves many wool properties: the yarn becomes MORE ELASTIC, STABLE, LESS SUSCEPTIBLE TO PILLING and DRIES 5X FASTER than conventional merino yarn. In short: the best merino yarn of all time!
105 MERINO ULTRA HOT PANTS are so light that you will hardly believe you are wearing almost pure merino wool. Thanks to a completely innovative manufacturing process, we have managed to produce an elastic material from merino wool that is lighter than ever before while at the same time stable. TheseTasmanian merino wool functional underpants are extremely versatile: depending on the intensity of physical exertion, they are suitable for mountain sports both in summer and in winter. The first choice for functional underwear, when light weight and high functionality really count!
THE NATURAL PARADISE OF TASMANIA
Incidentally, 100% of the merino wool from this collection comes from the Australian island of Tasmania. The wool from this natural paradise is high-quality, thin (18 microns), and tear-resistant. But just as important for ORTOVOX, the material is ethically and ecologically sound. We have very high expectations for the farmers. A large portion of their working time is committed to ensuring sustainable farm management and animal welfare.
The special features of wool fibers from Switzerland are their outstanding thermal properties and excellent climate control, as well as their regional origin.
