The following milestones in sustainability underline ORTOVOX’s constant commitment to good working standards, sustainable economic management and transparency.
2015: JOINING THE TEXTILES PARTNERSHIP
IMPROVEMENTS THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE TEXTILE AND CLOTHING INDUSTRY SUPPLY CHAIN
Since 2014, the PARTNERSHIP FOR SUSTAINABLE TEXTILES has fought for the improvement of social, economic and ecological conditions throughout the supply chain in the textile and clothing sector. This membership means more transparency and sustainable economic management for ORTOVOX, both at a European and a global level. A binding action plan will be published for the first time in 2018.
2015: JOINING THE FAIR WEAR FOUNDATION
FOCUS UPON WORKING CONDITIONS
Since July 2015, ORTOVOX has been a member of the FAIR WEAR FOUNDATION (FWF). The Fair Wear Foundation is an independent non-profit organization that is cooperatively led by retailer organizations and representatives from the textile industry, trade associations and non-government organizations with the aim of improving working conditions in the textile industry worldwide. By joining, ORTOVOX has committed to implement the FWF’s working guidelines in ORTOVOX factories. The second Brand Performance Check, in which the company’s management system is reviewed by the FWF, will take place at ORTOVOX in January 2018.
2016: JOINING EOCA
GLOBALLY ACTIVE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Since summer 2016, ORTOVOX has been a member of the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA), which promotes environmental protection worldwide. This group of companies from the European outdoor industry has been collecting donations worldwide for charitable projects since it was founded in 2006.
