Michael Mautz

From early age on, I was connected to the ski. It all started with racing and by doing freestyle, I came up to freeriding. In recent years, I have been moving more to alpine terrain with the skis. In the last few years, my sports passion moved towards climbing. Each climbing discipline is exciting for me and offers many challenges. As a mountain guide, I am also looking forward to share my passion with the guests.

ORTOVOX

Why Ortovox?

colorful, comfortable, super quality.

Favorite Summit

Cerro Torre

Best Descent

Climbing has so many facets, a 3m high boulder can be as exciting as a 1500m high North Face through mixed terrain or a demanding sport climbing project. Therefore, it is difficult to confine myself to a route / tour.

Safety Tip

Be trained well and slowly approach to new challenges - when things are not as planned you should be able to say "NO" and turn home- The mountain is not a frog that jumps away.
