I have been skiing for most of my life. I focus on ski touring and ski mountaineering and I have been lucky enough to ski some of the most amazing places throughout the western US and Canada. I am a ski guide and avalanche professional in Oregon. In my free time, my passion is exploring the ski terrain on the many volcanic peaks of the Cascade mountain range.

Homebase

Bend, OR, USA

Sponsors

ORTOVOX

Goals

Ski powder all winter, travel to new areas, and climb/ski new routes on the cascade volcanic peaks.

Why Ortovox?

Ortovox has its roots in avalanche safety and that means a lot to me.

Favorite Summit

Mt. Hood, Oregon

Best Descent

Best descent: north bowl of Mt. Mcloughlin in southern Oregon. Best tour: ski traverse across the Juneau Icefield in Alaska.

Safety Tip

Make careful terrain choices. If you are unsure about the snow stability, move to lower angle terrain. The steep lines will be there for another day.

Achievements

I am a certified ski guide through the American Mountain Guides Association and I am helping to create a grassroots avalanche center in Central Oregon. Ski descents of all the major Cascade volcanic peaks from Mt. Baker in Washington to Mt. Lassen in California.
