Cold fingers on descents are a thing of the past
Super-warm freeriding mittens with SWISSWOOL insulation for cold powder days
With our SWISSWOOL FREERIDE MITTENS for women, you’ll be perfectly equipped for every powder descent because cold fingers are now a thing of the past.
While the finest merino wool fibers on the inside provide excellent wear comfort, the SWISSWOOL® lining ensures the best possible insulation in freezing airstreams. The Toray Dermizax® EV shell is windproof and water resistant and so provides you with additional protection against the cold and snow.
Thanks to its practical elastic cinch cord, you can adjust our SWISSWOOL FREERIDE MITTENS just as you need to keep the wind and cold at bay. Elastic loss protection gives you security in case it gets a little bit turbulent in the powder. Inserts made from goatskin leather on the palm always ensure a good grip and provide the necessary robustness for intensive use.
As such, our SWISSWOOL FREERIDE MITTENS provide the perfect protection for your fingers when freeriding, no matter how long your descent.
Since 1995, merino wool has been an integral component of ORTOVOX’s mountainwear. Our merino wool comes from happy sheep reared on monitored, ethical sheep farms. The wool is naturally 100% ecological and therefore super sustainable. Thanks to the small-diameter fibers in its fine woolen threads, merino wool feels extremely soft and comfortable on the skin. In addition to comfort, merino wool also provides an ideal personal body climate by regulating both moisture and temperature. It is also easy to care for and, thanks to its antibacterial effect, odor neutralizing.
Born out of a pioneering spirit and shaped by our innovative strength, ORTOVOX introduced the first SWISSWOOL® products in 2011 – and simultaneously created a new segment of insulating wool products! Wool offers excellent thermal properties and optimum climate comfort. In addition to high functionality, SWISSWOOL® is also characterized by its regional origin, as well as its sustainable production and processing.
We have been using merino wool in our mountain wear layers since 1988, and we are the originators of functional wool apparel for mountain sports. The protection of people and animals has always been the central focus of all ORTOVOX activities.
