More volume for long ski excursions

Versatile, technical and comfortable ski touring backpack for big multi-day tours

The HAUTE ROUTE has been around almost since the birth of ski touring. That’s reason enough for a new addition to this tried-and-tested line: With its large volume, our new HAUTE ROUTE 40 is perfect for ski excursions lasting several days.

Unlike the smaller models, the main compartment of the HAUTE ROUTE 40 can be accessed from both the top and the back. So important items are always close at hand! A separate safety compartment guarantees immediate access to emergency equipment. Thanks to the rope attachment on the lid, you can pack and unpack your rope without having to open the backpack.

Even the largest version in the HAUTE ROUTE line of backpacks is now extremely abrasion resistant thanks to the use of Cordura® and double-layered 420D Manstar polyamide. What’s more, the PU coating on all the materials makes it water resistant. The backpack sits perfectly thanks to the load control cords and O-Flex back system, which distributes weight evenly between the hips and the shoulders. This ensures maximum comfort even with heavy loads.

The A and D-skifix options on allow for both classic and diagonal ski attachments, and the other carefully considered fixtures are equally impressive: In addition to the crampon fastening, ice axe and hiking pole fastening and fixed helmet net, there are also fasteners for a snowboard, for example. A practical map compartment and key holder complete this roomy ski touring backpack.

Thanks to its numerous clever details and high volume, our HAUTE ROUTE 40 is the best companion for long ski excursions, even in the most remote corners of the Alps.

Excellent backpack, excellent portability and access to shovel and probe; the dedicated pocket is large enough to accommodate even a spare pair of gloves. the pocket dedicated to the map or documents is only a little uncomfortable due to the too small opening. The well-engineered back opening is fantastic, allowing access to the entire main compartment of the backpack from top to bottom. The materials and the level of finishes are unsurpassed.
