"I grew up in a fanatic skiing family in the Zillertal. Therefore it was probably a logical consequence that at two years of age I had my first "test drives" on the two boards (zwoa Brettln). Later came the first race, inclusion in the youth squad, FIS race, the visit to the ski school (Skigymnasium Saalfelden) and then the switch from the well-groomed pistes to the backcountry and on to the most difficult and toughest ski cross tracks in the world. After two years of Ski Cross World Cup, then quickly off. A bad fall in China ended my Ski Cross career. During my time in the national team my studies in sports science suffered a little from lack of time, but I was able to complete my education as a certified ski instructor, ski guide and coach. Now I work both as a coach and as a ski guide in the backcountry. The somewhat premature "Ski Cross" pension has also its positive side. Since then I have more time to devote myself to my true destiny, the freeski mountaineering. New goals were found very quickly. Chris and I now use every free minute to make our plans a reality. "
Home base:
Zillertal
Sponsors:
Ortovox, Rossignol, POC, Kask and Komperdell
Goals/Plans:
Spend a good time on the mountain together with my powder buddy, Chris. To steadily develop further so that someday we safely come down somewhere, where nobody ever even thought about skiing down.
The most beautiful ascent?
Heidelberg peak
Favorite descent?
Top secret, or else somebody might steal the first line ;-)
Why Ortovox?
Only Ortovox is worth considering because I have to rely on my equipment in extreme situations on the mountain.
Favorite products from Ortovox!
Merino Competition, S1 and Peak II 29
Maxim on the mountain?
Safety first; no friends on powder days (except Chris)
Achievements:
ÖSV Nationalteam Ski Cross, Snowfever Big Mountain finals
