Mike Horn / Arktis (SUI)

Now living in Switzerland, Mike Horn, a South-African, has seen much success as a professional adventurer. In 1999, he circled the world along the equator and crossing Africa, he encircled the North Pole itself via the Arctic Circle. Mike has traveled 20,000 km, including 10,000 km in Siberia and 5,000 km on the sea between Russia and Greenland in temperatures ranging between -70 to 15 degrees. In the middle of August 2002, he started via boat from the North Cup westward in the direction of Greenland. Traveling by foot, kayak, bike or skis using a sledge, he ended at the Arctic Circle and then returned to Norway. Whenever he tours, Mike always wears underwear, socks and gloves from ORTOVOX Switzerland.
