Alexander RömerThis mountain guide is a first aid and mountain rescue expert. Author of the book, First Aid – Mountain Rescue, he runs numerous safety trainings as well as ORTOVOX avalanche clinics. Since 1990, this extreme climber has explored many famous routes and can be found travelling mountain walls around the world. He recently finished his new book, Lawinen Know-How, published by AM-Verlag.

Why ORTOVOX? "Safety strategies and – as a result – the reduction of risks in the mountains have become increas-
ingly important. A prerequisite for minimizing risks is using the right equipment. I rely on ORTOVOX, because I don’t like to make compromises concerning my personal safety."
