Albert Precht / Mountain Guiding (AUT)

A mountain and ski guide from Bischofshofen, Albert is a supporter of the Trad Climbing. He strongly opposes routes made by boring tools, or drills, but, instead, supports the renovation of existing routes. He has made numerous solo ascents in the classic, "without tool", style including the "Freier als Paul Preuß" 7 (more free than Paul Preuß) – in the weather wall of the 900 m high Hochkönig. He has, also, ascended extremely difficult free climb routes in Jordan’s desert mountains (routes with 27 rope lengths up to 9 degrees). He is the author of several regional and selection guides, climbing guides for restored classic routes, alpine sports climbing and the Austrian Alpine Club Guide 2002 Annual Issue.
