Avalanche Seminar Level 2

A four-day course covering data collection, ICSI recording standards and documentation for weather, snowpack and observed avalanches. It includes a detailed look at snow metamorphism, more advanced stability testing and interpretation with increased time negotiating terrain that could produce avalanches. For backcountry users wanting greater understanding who are interested in decision making and leadership skills. It is the core course for all professionals, yet equally valuable to recreational leaders. Avalanche Level 1 or equivalent is a prerequisite.
