Snow Scientists and Avalanche Practitioners Meet In Squaw Valley - Bild 1
The International Symposium of Snow Science and avalanche practice is being held October 17 - 22, 2010, at the Resort at Squaw Creek in beautiful Squaw Valley, California.

Join other snow scientists and avalanche practitioners in attending this International Conference celebrating “A Merging of Theory and Practice”. ISSW’s meeting-of-the-minds provides a forum in which to discuss theories, present papers and explore innovative new research topics.

This is a great opportunity to meet with Ortovox senior management: Gerald Kampel, founder and owner; Franz Kröll, Transceiver Product Manager, Marcus Peterson, Ortovox USA CEO; Gary Bard, California & Nevada Tech Rep; and Jay Bright, Northwest Tech Rep.

Franz Kroll will be presenting a paper entitled, “Fighting the Worst Case — avoiding loss of transmitting range and directional irritations for perpendicular-buried transmitting beacons“. Jay Bright will offer an oral presentation on “Avalanche Hazard Management Without Mitigation Action”.

Registration information can be found on the ISSW website.
