As a mountain guide and day observer of the Bavarian avalanche warning service, hardly a day goes by for Thomas Hafenmair without encountering the element of snow. Due to his work as a team leader and member of the Füssen air rescue station, he also knows the dark side of mountaineering and therefore knows very well what it means to have a good safety equipment on a ski tour on the mountain.
